Curved Glass Distributors was established as The Whalley Glass Company in 1945 and began as a retail shop in New Haven Connecticut. In 1970 it was purchased by Salvatore Vece who always believed that hard work and strong family ties make for good business. 

Today the Curved Glass Group, is a leader in the distribution of Auto replacement glass, Coach and Transit replacement glass and are a full line distributor of Architectural and Fabricated glass products. Fullington Trailways, A Story of Resilience...

On Sunday, March 16, a major storm system moved through Central Pennsylvania. While power is restored to Fullington Trailways' Alexander Drive location, they are still running on a very slow backup internet connection while Comcast continues to restore lines. Their main entrance remains blocked by heavy Comcast lines, and they are currently using a rear egress point.

Imagine this scenario: The power goes out at your main office. No phones, no internet. You think to yourself, "Oh, it's Sunday. No big deal." But wait, the situation is far from simple. It turns out that multiple utility poles have fallen, along with all the wires—spanning nearly half a mile—and they're blocking the only entrance to your facility. 

But here's the kicker: This location is also your primary garage. That means you can’t get vehicles in or out. Most of your fleet is already out on the road, with drivers heading back to the base. You can’t access the maintenance bays. There’s no way to wash or dump the motorcoaches. Drivers are stranded—some at the garage, unable to leave due to live wires on the ground, and others stuck in a parking lot about 5 miles away.

Phil Wellington Joins MCI Financial Services

Trailways Preferred Partner, Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (NFI) and North America’s motorcoach leader, offering in-field technical expertise, 24/7 roadside assistance, and parts support, announced that Phil Wellington has joined MCI as Regional Account Manager Financial Services, taking over for recent retiree David Johnson. NFI Announces Leadership Changes to Strengthen MCI Operations

NFI Group Inc. has announced leadership changes aimed at strengthening operations. Motor Coach Industries (MCI), as part of its strategic initiative, Project Focus, announced the promotion of Tom Wagner to Vice President Private Sector Sales and Service. Tom succeeds Brent Maitland, who has elected to pursue a new opportunity as Chief Executive Officer of All Aboard America Holdings, Inc. (AAAHI). 

Project Focus, launched to improve quality and operational excellence across NFI's North American manufacturing operations, includes re-establishing MCI as a distinct business unit under the direct leadership of Paul Soubry, NFI's president and CEO. Trailways Affiliate Partner, ABC Companies recently welcomed Congressman Maxwell Frost, a strong advocate for transportation innovation and sustainability, to discuss public transit accessibility and fleet electrification in Central Florida. Through his leadership on key congressional committees, Congressman Frost is working to advance transportation infrastructure, energy policy, and environmental initiatives—efforts closely align with ABC Companies' commitment from low emissions to zero-emission strategies, and transit solutions. Help ABA Address the Surge in NYC Idling Summons – Share Your Experience



New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) has dramatically increased the number of idling summonses issued, rising from 10,000 in 2023 to over 100,000 in 2024. Many of these citations stem from the Citizens Complaint Program, which allows individuals to report vehicles idling for extended periods.

The American Bus Association (ABA) is actively collaborating with industry partners to address this issue and advocate for fair policies at the city and state levels. We need your input to better represent our concerns.

Tariffs- What We Know



The American Bus Association is closely monitoring recent tariff developments that could impact the motorcoach industry. While motorcoach imports from Canada and Mexico remain unaffected under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), new reciprocal tariffs have been imposed on motorcoaches from other key manufacturing countries, including North Macedonia, Turkey, and Germany. Additionally, existing tariffs on steel and aluminum remain in place, and broader tariff actions—particularly against China—continue to evolve.

Given the fluid nature of these policies, ABA is committed to keeping members informed of any changes that may affect their operations and procurement decisions.
