Director's Note

Welcome to May - the month where flowers bloom and allergies continue to attack! May brings us Better Hearing and Speech Month. So, this month we’re celebrating the power of communication and the amazing work of our speech-language pathologists, Grace and Julie! From first words to clearer sounds to building confidence in conversations, speech therapy helps children connect with the world around them. We’ll be sharing helpful tips and activities throughout the month on our Instagram page! Follow us HERE.

A special shout out to all of the moms and service women and men who we honor this month.

May is also mental health awareness month and I want to recognize our partner The Mariposa Center for Infant, Child & Family Enrichment. The Mariposa Center provides comprehensive creative arts-based therapeutic and educational services in order to promote greater health and well-being in the lives of young children, families, and their systems of care. You can learn more about them HERE.

Summer is right around the corner, and we know many families' schedules change. Consistency over the summer months can make a big difference in maintaining progress so please let us know if you need to reschedule any appointments.

As always, if you have any feedback, questions or concerns or want to share a success story, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Cheers,

Stephanie Martens, MS OTR/L

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

We have a new team member. Please welcome Elissa, our newest occupational therapist. Elissa has a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Colorado State University. She is originally from Southern California but has been enjoying her time in Colorado for the last few years. Elissa has a passion for pediatrics, and loves working with each family and child to best support their growth, learning, and development. She has experience working with pediatric populations in home health, adaptive recreative, and clinical settings. Outside of work, Elissa loves spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, and getting crafty.

Measles Outbreak

Have you and/or your child been exposed to measels?

  • If you and your children are vaccinated against measles and have been exposed, please wear a mask
  • If you and your children have been exposed and are NOT vaccinated, please switch to telehealth therapy appointments. We provide therapy for many babies that are not old enough to be vaccinated and medically fragile children that are unable to be vaccinated.

Thank you for helping us keep them healthy and safe!

Amaryllis is Growing!

We are growing our team and currently looking to hire an occupational therapist and a speech therapist or speech therapy fellow. If you know anyone looking, please pass along this link:

Lost and Found

Please check the lost and found in the waiting room for items that were left behind.

Our clinic will be closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of the holiday. We wish you a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Memorial Day

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice allows us the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we are deeply grateful.

As we enjoy the long weekend with our families, let’s take a moment to reflect, share stories, and teach our children the importance of courage, gratitude, and service.
