Two Local Businesses Awarded 2026 Regional Incentives Program (RIP) Grants

Congratulations to the recipients of this year’s Regional Incentives Program (RIP) grants — two South Glengarry businesses with exciting growth plans ahead!

William Lecky and Tanner Spink, owners of Aurra Wood Co., have been awarded a $30,800 grant to build a new 4,000 sq. ft. fully integrated hardwood milling and custom wood design facility at their County Road 19 location. The business is consolidating its operations in South Glengarry to offer on-site milling, lumber drying, and fabrication of custom millwork, architectural features, and premium furniture for residential and commercial clients.

Angèle Lapointe and Erik Faulkner of Wild Streak Farm on Connortown Road in Apple Hill have been awarded $23,111.55 to expand their operation with a 35’ × 100’ heated greenhouse, infrastructure improvements, and permanent signage — extending their growing season, increasing production, and driving more traffic to their farm stand.

These investments are exactly the kind of growth that strengthens our local economy. Combined, these expansions total $599,000 in private investment. We look forward to seeing both businesses thrive!

Youtopia Massage Therapy's Expansion Project Wrapping Up

Cindy Wilson, owner of Youtopia Massage Therapy, is putting the finishing touches on a one-of-a-kind wellness destination. The project was supported by a RIP grant to create a welcoming front desk and waiting area, and add change rooms, showers, and lockers for the new outdoor Scandinavian-style bath treatment centre — complete with a sauna, hot tub, cold plunge pool, and a relaxation area with a fire pit.

Watch for updates — this is going to be a remarkable addition to South Glengarry!

Business Breakfast Roundtables – A Great Success.

Over 30 businesses joined our Roundtable Business Breakfast on Thursday, April 30, for conversations with four regional experts in financing, start-up and expansion support, and workforce development. The roundtable set-up was a hit, and we look forward to using this format again.
