DPP Lifestyle Coach Spotlight

Nancy Sutton

YMCA Greensboro

Nancy Sutton is an exceptional DPP Lifestyle Coach whose impact is felt by both participants and our team every day. She has a remarkable ability to connect with participants, creating a supportive and welcoming environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and motivated to succeed. Nancy consistently shows up—not only for her participants, but also as a dependable and collaborative member of our team. Her expertise in leading and facilitating the Diabetes Prevention Program is evident in every session, and her attention to detail is equally strong, demonstrated through her thorough and timely data entry. Nancy has been serving the YMCA of Greensboro since 2024 and the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina since 2017, bringing years of dedication and experience to her role. She truly embodies the YMCA’s mission, vision, and values in all that she does. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of both associations’ teams.

Through Nancy Sutton’s leadership as a YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach, we are seeing meaningful outcomes across her participants. Many individuals are experiencing reductions in A1C levels, demonstrating real progress toward improved health and diabetes prevention. Her classes also maintain an impressive 85% attendance rate, reflecting the strong connections she builds and the supportive environment she creates.

Nancy’s ability to engage participants, keep them motivated, and guide them through sustainable lifestyle changes continues to drive success. Her impact is felt not only in the numbers, but in the confidence and commitment participants gain throughout the program.

You can nominate a DPP lifestyle coach in your organization who is doing great work!

Nominations will be featured in future editions of the DiabetesFreeNC DPP Lifestyle Coach Network Newsletter.
