River Cities Intergroup is made up of AA groups from the Tri-State area (AZ, CA, and NV). The second Monday of each month is the Central Office Intergroup meeting.

The Twelve Concepts and
Our Shared Service Work
The Twelve Concepts help explain how service in AA works — who makes decisions, how responsibility is shared, and how trusted servants support the Fellowship.
They remind us that AA belongs to the groups. Service bodies exist to help groups, not to direct them, and group conscience keeps everything connected and accountable.
Throughout 2026, we’ll look at one Concept each month to better understand how our service structure works and how every group plays a part.
Concept VI
"VI. The Conference recognizes that the chief initiative and active responsibility in most world service matters should be exercised by the trustee members of the Conference acting as the General Service Board.”
Concept VI reminds us that responsibility in AA service is shared.
The General Service Conference has responsibility for guiding and maintaining AA’s world services, while much of the initiative and active work is carried out by the General Service Board and trustees.
This Concept highlights an important principle in AA service: responsibility is delegated so the work can be done effectively.
Not everyone has the same role, but every role matters.
Concept VI encourages trusted servants to work together, communicate openly, and support the common purpose of carrying the message.

Tradition 6: "An A.A. group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the A.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from our primary purpose."

Hey friends,
June brings a different kind of energy.
The days are longer, the colors are brighter, and everywhere we look things seem to be growing. It feels fitting that this month’s theme is “In Full Bloom.”
Recovery often looks like that too.
Not all at once. Not overnight.
Growth happens quietly. One meeting at a time. One conversation. One act of service. One moment of willingness.
Just like a garden, every part has a purpose. Some plant seeds. Some water. Some pull weeds. Some simply keep showing up.
Different jobs. Different paths. One shared purpose.
As we move into summer and continue the work of recovery and service together, may we remember that growth doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Thank you for being part of this community, for the service you give, and for helping AA continue to bloom in so many ways.
