Dear Friends,
During Covid, I quit wearing glasses. I joke that I had seen enough! The truth is, I just got tired of them fogging up every time I wore a mask. Somewhere along the way, I also managed to lose them and never got around to replacing them. Since I’m near-sighted, I could still manage fine in familiar space, but driving in new areas, especially at night, was another story.
A few days ago, I finally decided it was time to get new glasses. The moment I put them on, it felt almost miraculous as everything looked sharper, clearer, and more in focus.
That experience reminded me of what good marketing and storytelling does for a nonprofit. It brings the mission into focus, helping others see clearly who we are and what we stand for. Strong communication builds awareness, trust, and loyalty among clients, donors, and volunteers. As fundraisers, we’re an extension of our organization’s brand, helping others see the impact of our work more vividly.
This month’s luncheon will focus on communication and storytelling and its importance in promoting our mission for the greatest impact. Join us as we network, support one another, and learn how to bring our organizations into sharper focus.
Warmest wishes,
Trey Harper, CFRE
