From Your

Associational Mission Strategist

We recently held our Third Annual Leadership Conference, and we were grateful for a strong attendance. I appreciate everyone who participated, and I’ve heard from many that the breakout sessions were especially helpful. It is our ongoing prayer to provide training that strengthens the ministries of our churches. We were blessed with excellent consultants who led the breakouts, and they remain available as a resource to serve our churches. I also want to thank Penia Baptist Church for graciously hosting the conference again this year. We look forward to continuing these opportunities so our churches can grow healthier and be equipped with the resources needed for strong, vibrant ministry.

Camp season is just around the corner. Applications are now available on our website and at the SCBN office. We are excited about what God will do through our summer camps. Our Camp Directors are working diligently to prepare for a meaningful week where children will have fun and grow in their understanding of Jesus. We are always in need of volunteers to serve during camp weeks. This is a wonderful opportunity for local missions and a meaningful way to invest in the lives of children. If you have not served before and would like to get involved this year, please let me know. Please also be in prayer for our directors as they prepare, and for the children who will attend.

Our Association camp belongs to our churches, and its future depends on both financial support and active participation. A few weeks ago, I shared a video outlining some of our current needs as we work to sustain this year’s budget and avoid a shortfall like last year. I am asking our churches to consider receiving a love offering for the camp, and I encourage individuals who feel led to give as well. While our camp fund is growing, we still need additional support to maintain and care for the campground. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for recognizing the importance of this ministry.

I am truly grateful for the privilege of serving our pastors and churches. May God continue to use us as we work together to reach more people with the Gospel and remain united in this mission.

SUNDAY, May 10, 2026

This Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, we pause to remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service to our nation. We are reminded of the words in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." As we enjoy the freedoms their sacrifice secured, let us join together in prayer for the families of the fallen and for peace in our world.
