About Kimbal Warren
Kimbal Warren received a B.F.A from Brigham Young University. He grew up in the Wasatch Valley of Utah, where he gained his appreciation for the mountains and rural areas of the West.
He has made his art a full-time profession. He has participated in many shows and continues to receive numerous awards for his work. He has been a featured Artist in the publications Art of the West, Focus/Santa Fe and The Santa Fean. Other publications/books include Painters of Utah’s Canyons and Deserts, Utah Painters, Artists of Utah, Painters of the Wasatch Mountains, The Willie Martin Handcart Story, History of the Saints, Dictionary of Utah Fine Artists, and Utah Painting and Sculpture.
Warren has spent a lifetime painting, teaching and mentoring. He enjoys hiking and riding his horses in the wilderness and high country to get inspiration and material for his paintings. His fascination with history and travel has taken him painting throughout the world. His work is shown in several galleries in the west.
He served on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Care and Acquisitions for the Springville Museum of Art from 2007 to 2017. His work is in many corporate and private collections, including the permanent collection of Shell Oil Corporation, Gulf Oil Corporation, The Museum of the American West and The Springville Museum of Art, The LDS Church and Brigham Young University. He is a member of the Plein Air painters of Utah, Oil Painters of America and an Honorary Artist Member of the MO Club in Tucson, Arizona. He resides in Mapleton, Utah.
Warren’s work is shown by F. Weixler Design Company, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mountain Trail Galleries in Park City, Utah and in Jackson, Wyoming; Santa Fe Trails Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Illume Gallery, Philipsburg, Montana.
