Families with infants in Valley Children’s NICU now have a new way to stay connected, thanks to support from The James G. Boswell Foundation. The AngelEye camera system went live January 20 after a collaborative effort across multiple Valley Children’s teams. A total of 79 cameras were installed at the bedside to enhance the family‑centered care experience, especially for parents who cannot be physically present during those early moments and throughout their child’s stay.

The system provides secure, real‑time video access so families can keep an eye on their baby from anywhere. It also offers a private space for bedside nurses to share brief messages and updates, helping parents feel more informed and connected to their infant’s care.

The James G. Boswell Foundation’s outstanding generosity has made it possible for families to remain close, even when distance or circumstances keep them apart. This technology brings comfort, reassurance and a deeper sense of connection during some of the most challenging days a family may face.

Costco is launching its annual campaign for Valley Children's today through May 31. Recently, we had the honor of welcoming nine Central Valley Costco warehouses to Valley Children's Hospital. Together, we celebrated 36 years of Costco's incredible support, which has raised more than $9.5 million.

Local Costco managers and associates heard directly from Dr. Kyle Robinette, pediatric ENT, about the powerful impact their fundraising makes for Valley Children’s. During their visit, they also met our 2026 CMN Champion, Tesla, and her mom, Kim, who shared their family’s inspiring journey. The group then toured several critical areas of the hospital, including Child Life and Oncology, seeing firsthand how their support touches the lives of children across our community.

We proudly celebrated nine Costco warehouses that raised an incredible $669,609 in 2025 for our hospital — with seven exceptional associates each raising more than $10,000!

Make sure to stop by your local Costco warehouse and join the effort! Every donation helps change lives and brings hope to children and families across our community.

Our Extra Life community recently gathered to celebrate a year of incredible impact at Valley Children’s. The event offered a chance to reflect on 2025 achievements, share the personal “why” behind each participant’s fundraising, and strengthen the connections that make this group so special.

Attendees also visited Valley Children’s Child Life department, where they saw firsthand how their efforts support therapeutic play, emotional care and meaningful experiences for patients and families. It was a powerful reminder of how every hour of gameplay and every donation directly supports kids in our care.

Thanks to the dedication of this community, an outstanding $40,445.44 was raised this year. We are deeply grateful for every participant who made this possible and look forward to watching this inspiring group continue to grow in 2026.

We are incredibly grateful to the Baskin‑Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation for their generous grant supporting Valley Children’s Hospital. This meaningful contribution helps us continue providing comfort, care and moments of joy to the children and families who rely on us during some of their most difficult moments.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the Joy in Childhood Foundation and the local Baskin‑Robbins team for their ongoing commitment to making a difference in our community. Their partnership plays a vital role in creating brighter, more hopeful experiences for the kids we serve.

We’re thrilled to share that Trent Dilfer, former NFL quarterback, helped secure an $11,000 donation for Valley Children’s through his participation in the 2026 ACE Shootout. His support—and Ace Hardware’s generosity—will make a meaningful difference for the kids and families we serve.

If you missed the Shootout’s premiere on April 21, you can still catch Trent in action during the upcoming national replays:

  • Monday, May 4 at 10:00 AM ET
  • Tuesday, May 19 at 12:00 AM ET
  • Sunday, May 24 at 5:00 PM ET

We’re grateful to Trent for representing our community so proudly and to everyone who continues to champion Valley Children’s mission. Moments like this highlight the power of partnership and the impact we can make together.

Acts of kindness continue to uplift our communities in meaningful ways. During Kindness Week, the Westside Parent Club at Westside Union Elementary School showed its commitment to Valley Children’s through a $1,000 donation. The gift reflects the power of compassion and the impact families can have when they come together to support the children and families across the Central Valley.

That same spirit of giving was reflected by SATF of Corcoran, who made a gift of more than $6,000 to Valley Children’s Child Life, along with stuffed animals to brighten patients’ days. The support helps the Child Life team provide comfort, play and moments of normalcy for children and families facing hospitalization.

Together, these contributions highlight how much can be accomplished when communities unite with care and purpose to support Valley Children’s and the families we serve.
