Quail Creek Country Club POA
Dear Quail Creek Residents,
As we continue reopening our facilities gradually, we appreciate the support of both residents and staff to follow safety protocols and processes and adjust to a new normal.

Concierge Desk and Administration Offices Closed Memorial Day

Please note that the Administration Offices and Concierge Desk will be closed on Monday, May 25 th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Stick around for the 10:30 AM cruise by the Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts. They will cruise in from the front gate and around the loop to show off their classic cars. Give a shout and a wave as they cruise on by!

Food and Beverage Operations

The Grill had a surprise visit by a Pima County Health Inspector on Wednesday, May 20 th . Pima County is making the rounds to restaurants to review new guidelines implemented for restaurants in Pima County. The inspector was impressed to note that the Grill has already implemented all 17 measures related to COVID-19. The protective measures include limiting indoor occupancy to 50% or lower, minimum of 6 feet between tables, the use of cloth masks, signage posted at the entrance, single-use menus, and hand sanitizers available at the entrance, restrooms and employee work areas as well as sanitizing customer areas after each sitting plus other measures. Our F&B staff has adjusted quickly to these new regulations and is working hard to keep residents and staff safe and well. See Grill Guidelines .

Memorial Day is coming up on Monday, May 25 th and Chef Aris has created a Memorial Day Menu for the occasion. Choose a Red, White and Blue Salad, Hot Dog, Memorial Burger, Smoked Pork Ribs, Smoked Tri Tip, among other choices! Our regular menu is not available on Memorial Day.

Virtual Events

We hope you are taking advantage of virtual events such as the Cooking Kit and Demo by Executive Chef Aris and Epifania Torres, Director of Banquets and Events. To order your kit, call 520-393-5822 weekdays, 9 AM to 1 PM. Pick up will be behind the Madera Clubhouse in designated parking spots. A second cooking kit and demo is on the way!

PebbleCreek, one of our sister communities, has also shared their Virtual Cinema with us. Crescendo , The Times of Bill Cunningham and The Booksellers are the latest offerings. The films offered are not available to view anywhere else.

Creative Arts and Technology Center (CATC)

The CATC studios will reopen on Monday, May 25 th with daily hours from 6 AM to 5 PM in Phase I. Many thanks to the following club representatives who met with David Jones to review plans to safely reopen studios:

Members of each club should check with their club president for specific club guidelines for reopening. Not all clubs have chosen to reopen on May 25 th . Please check guidelines posted at each studio.

Water fountains are turned off. Please bring your own water to stay hydrated.

Pools and Fitness Center Operations

Starting Saturday, May 23 rd , s wimmers can reserve 1 1/2 hours for their swim time.

In the Fitness Center walk-ins will be accepted on a limited basis if space allows.

A new Plexiglas shield has been installed at the check-in desk, similar to those you may have seen at grocery stores.

Sport Courts - Pickleball, Tennis and Bocce Courts

Thank you to our avid Pickleball and Tennis players who have been observing guidelines put in place as we phased in reopening our sports courts. We appreciate your patience! We are putting the nets back up so all the courts will be available for play starting this Saturday. Organized play is still canceled until further notice. Please continue following CDC guidelines regarding social d istancing, sanitizing your equipment as well as your hands. Note that water fountains are still turned off so p lease continue to bring your own water. Thank you to Doug Shumway, President of the Tennis Club, Steve Shapiro, President, and Dave Mungo, Vice-President, of the Pickleball Club for their leadership and assistance. Restrooms at the Pickleball Courts will reopen on Tuesday, May 26 th .

Pro Shop

We are looking forward to reopening the Pro Shop for check-ins and retail sales. We are awaiting a new Plexiglas shield at the counter but expect that we should be able to open shortly. Our golfers are reminded to continue social distancing at the Pro Shop, Practice Range and during play on the courses. Continue to bring your own water as the days get longer and hotter!

As we move forward with phased re-openings, please continue to take the precautions necessary to stay safe and healthy. Follow CDC guidelines, wear your masks, keep your social distance, and only participate in what you feel comfortable doing. By doing so, you will take care of yourself and others.
