-----Thank you for your prayers for the parishioners that are walking in the Footsteps of St. Paul. We will be remembering you and your intentions at every Mass we celebrate on pilgrimage. Please pray for a safe spiritual journey for all pilgrims. I look forward to seeing you next weekend.
-----This weekend we will be welcoming Mr. Chase Hawkins to the Church of St. Mary as the Youth Minister. Here is a letter of introduction from him. He begins his ministry at the parish at the end of the month. I trust you will welcome him and support his outreach and ministry to our youth.

|
-----Hi everybody! My name is Chase Hawkins and I am excited to join the Church of St. Mary community as Director of Youth Ministry and Coordinator of Liturgical Evangelization! I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, and have two younger brothers. I did gymnastics my entire childhood through senior year of high school which gave me so many great memories, challenges, lessons – and two broken kneecaps in middle school! I went to Marquette University and graduated with degrees in Theology, Communication Studies, and Philosophy. At Marquette I worked in Campus Ministry as the Liturgy Assistant, making worship aids for Sunday Mass, training liturgical ministers, and being a sacristan for university Masses.
-----After graduation, I went to the University of Notre Dame to begin my Masters of Divinity. Over the past three years at Notre Dame, I have been studying theology for ministry in the Church, doing supervised field education ministry, and receiving community, human, and spiritual formation. I have had the great joy of studying with other lay ecclesial ministers as well as seminarians and brothers in the Congregation of Holy Cross. During my time at Notre Dame, I have served as a hospital chaplain, a middle school youth minister, and a liturgical formation assistant in Campus Ministry.
-----Since September 2021, I have been engaged to my fiancée, Amelle, who is a first-year medical student at Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove. Amelle and I started dating during our sophomore year at Marquette and we are excited to be getting married this July! For fun, I love watching, following, and playing sports. I am a Cincinnati Bengals mega-fan, but I also love the Cincinnati Reds, Marquette women’s and men’s basketball, the Milwaukee Bucks, and Notre Dame football. I also love listening to and discovering music and in the warm weather I love casually riding my bike and exploring new places. Once again, I’m very excited to be part of the parish community and I look forward to meeting you soon!
-----May God bless us as we walk with Jesus in newness of life,

-
Offering an environment where children grow closer in their relationship with God
- Encouraging children to learn their prayers and develop their prayer life
- Teaching and catechizing through text books, videos, and creative activities
Children who do not consistently attend Religious Education are missing important catechesis and are at a disadvantage when they rejoin the program.

Sacramental Preparation (First Reconciliation/First Communion and Confirmation).

“…do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (JOHN 14:27)
Our limited human understanding cannot begin to understand the immense power of God. Instead of trusting in God, we think we can control every outcome. Do you want to make God laugh? Tell Him your plans. The next time worry, anxiety, or fear creeps in, thank God for all He has given you and trust that He has a better plan for you.
