WELCOME FROM OUR PASTOR
Happy 6th Week of Easter and Happy 200th Anniversary Friends!
We hope to see as many of you as possible at our 200th anniversary celebration this Sunday, May 22nd at 11:30 followed by a grand reception.! Bring your family and friends and share our church during this historical milestone. Our parishioners, staff and guest clergy have prepared a great service for you where we will celebrate our church, rejoice with our community and praise God together. The weather is hot so to prepare, we are cooling our church beginning tonight with AC and fans. At the service, water will be provided, or feel free to bring your own so we all stay hydrated. We are recommending that folks wear masks indoors per CDC guidelines and masks will be provided. Feel free to wear whatever keeps you comfortable on a hot day -- you do not have to wear suits! Shorts and tee shirts are perfectably acceptable! God cares about your heart, not what you wear. Jesus wore sandals after all.
We have some fabulous guests who will celebrate with us, including our Conference Executive Minister Rev. Darrell Goodwin coming from Connecticut and the Rev. Dr. Patty Kogut, Association Minister coming from the Cape. Great neighbors will join us including local Jackson Square business owners who have supported us--Bob Terravachio from Coastal Heritage Bank, George Loring, our Herring Run Wardens, Pingree Parents Council, local Congregational Churches and our friends from Emergency Management. We have community service organizations we've partnered with over the years coming, like staff from the Weymouth Food Bank, South Shore Arc, the Rotary Club, Boy Scouts, Best Buddies, Weymouth 400, Weymouth Elder Services, and the Weymouth Teen Center. We have social justice organizations coming like FRRACS and Weymouth Pride. We have Civic leaders like Senator Patrick O'Connor and Representative James Murphy, the Mayor's office, and Weymouth Councilors. But to top this list, we want to celebrate with you and your families!!
Join us friends. I leave you with a prayer. God bless you and keep you.
Gracious God we give thanks as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of our church and the journey that started so many years ago – and so many plans ago – and so many dreams ago. We celebrate all the joys that have been birthed in these 200 years. We celebrate all the happy times, all the accomplishments, and all the triumphs. Thank You, Lord, for blessing us. We acknowledge that there have been, and will continue to be, struggles and heartaches. Yet we have traveled together under Your protection and love. Thank You, Lord, for being with us in good times and bad. We ask, Lord, that You would continue to protect us, guide us and sustain us for a future full of hope. Amen.
Blessings and love,
Gretchen

Almighty God we cry out for an end to this crisis. For mercy, peace, and truth – because You are light, hope, power, and love. Amen.
COVID PRECAUTIONS. Council is strongly recommending masks to protect especially those most vulnerable. Weymouth's infection rate is rising and CDC is asking Norfolk County to mask indoors as covid infection rates as high through most of MA. If you have any symptoms of covid, we ask that you come back to the church when you feel better, preferably with a negative test.
