Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. According to MentalHealth.gov, "Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices." Educators, who often see students on a daily basis, can play a key role in noticing the warning signs that a student is having a mental health issue. Schools can also be proactive by creating a positive school environment and having mental health programs in place. For educator resources from MentalHealth.gov, click here.
