CAPTAIN TOM MOORE, A BRITISH INSPIRATION WE SPOTLIGHT
THIS MEMORIAL WEEKEND ....

An outstanding and trully inspiring moment during Covid-19 has been hearing the updates and news of Captain Tom Moore, British WWII veteran, who has now just turned 100 years old.

Moore was hoping to raise $1500 for the NHS in their fight  against Covid-19 - as news of his effort spread. British  people were so inspired as they watched him walk around  his garden in England, as donations kept coming in Moore  kept walking. Moore completed 100 laps and raised  over $39 Million dollars.

Now it has been announced that Moore has just been advised that he is to receive a Knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honors - receiving the news from Prime Minister  Boris Johnson who noted that what Moore did was ..."a beacon of light". He will be known by his full title of Captain Sir Thomas Moore
