O God, on this day you open the hearts of your faithful people by sending into us your Holy Spirit. Direct us by the light of that Spirit, that we may have a right judgment in all things and rejoice at all times in your peace, through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Reasons to come to worship:

You will meet people just like yourself. Here, you will worship with kind, friendly, intelligent, and motivated folk. Just like you, they are curious, seeking, strong in faith, doubting, joyful, sad, worried.

You will meet people that are different from you.

Here, you will worship with people from all walks of life, all economic levels, sexual orientations, races, genders. Just like you, they are here, in community, trying to figure out where their lives intersect with God.

A Reminder that our Get It Done in 101 Campaign will continue through the end of the year. This is a continuation of the campaign formerly known as Drive to ’25 with a goal to raise $25,000 pantry and kitchen improvements. New Get it Done in 101 envelopes are in the narthex. It is also a new fund offered in Tithe.ly, if you prefer to pay online.

Faith Formation

Are you interested in learning about the Christian faith? Lutheranism? St Paul Church?

Classes for those seeking membership in the church will be starting June 2 at 7pm on Zoom and in person.The following session will be June 16, each lasting 90 minutes each.

If you wish to be baptized, you should also be a part of these classes.

Please let me know your intentions so we have enough materials for everyone.

We will welcome new members June 21 through the Sacrament of Baptism and the Affirmation of Baptism.

 Lifeline (Free Smartphone Program)

Lifeline is a federal program that provides eligible low-income individuals with a free smartphone and free wireless phone service (free data, free monthly minutes and unlimited texting). This Lifeline program is operated by the federal government, and should not be confused with the state’s Lifeline utility assistance program.

If you participate in certain assistance programs like Medicaid, NJ SNAP or SSI, you automatically qualify for the Lifeline program.
