The whole school reverently looking on as the American flag is raised during our annual

Memorial Day Celebration

Happy Friday, everyone!

Well, just when I think our kids can’t surprise me anymore, they go out and perform in our Spring Concert! If anyone has any solid video to share so we can post in a future newsletter or on our website, please send it to the office! The 1st grade play was a huge hit, and I don’t know about anyone else, but that Ave Maria arrangement just blew me out of the water. You can tell the kids were having fun! Another congratulations to our very capable music directors! Our future is bright!

Our students participated in a beautiful Memorial Day Ceremony yesterday morning. We sang America the Beautiful, God Bless America, and our National Anthem around our flag pole. We also prayed for the fallen, for the repose of their souls and for comfort for their families. Each name that we had collected is attached to a small American flag that is now in the ground at the base of our flag pole. While I love how deep our 5th and 8th grade classes get into American History, these moments are so critical to understanding how fragile our ideals are. Like with our Faith, we must always be vigilant, knowing where we came from, why we have the system of government that we have now, and yes, that freedom isn’t free. I hope we all take a moment this weekend to pray for every soldier that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our God and country.

We have a lot of openings for next school year. I am close to being set with all office and part time positions, and am still looking for more applications for PreK, K, and 5th grade. Please ask around and have them reach out to me!

With the new logo, school colors and mascot, I’m putting together a big spirit wear sale for late summer into fall. It’s looking good! Stay tuned for more on that.

Enjoy the long weekend!

In Him,

Andy

Staff End of the Year Gift Collection

Dear Families,

It is almost the end of the school year and

that means that it is time for the annual Staff

End of the Year Gift Collection. In lieu of

buying individual gifts for staff members, you

have the option to participate in this group

gift collection. All proceeds are divided

between all the staff so that no one gets left

out. This is 100% voluntary!

Deadline is midnight, May 27th

Members of Gabriel House, Jacob & Christopher, participate in a service project benefiting The Margaret Home

First grade scholars witnessing the stages of life as the first of 10 caterpillars emerges from it's chrysalis as a beautiful butterfly.

Gardening Group

Do you love working in the garden?

Please email Mr. Follaco if you'd be interested in joining the gardening group. We are hoping to find a few volunteers to commit a little free time once a month while the gardens are in bloom. Ideally we will have a big work day in the fall and spring followed by weekly, rotating maintenance. If we get enough people we can consider a Marian Grotto near the 3rd grade space!
