The district talks about having a partnership & collaborating, but their actions say something different...
After ten months of bargaining, they came to the bargaining table yesterday WITHOUT a proposal to address:
- Class Size
- Teacher Autonomy
- Safety & Discipline
- Additional $ for MA, BA+90 and Earned Doctorate
- More Tutors for our students
- 54 + 8 hours of PL & AC meeting time (plus 80 hours for Designated Schools)
- Fresno Adult School improvements
- Deployment of students at elementary schools
: they proposed a $800 increased district contribution per employee that they believe will get us to a 90-10 plan and a maximum out of pocket of $2500. But when we said that the $1025 district contribution per employee in 2014 resulted in our health plan costing more over the last three years, they didn't know what to say. Later in the day they claimed that the $800 per employees is enough, but we are awaiting language to clarify this issue.
: 2.5% retro plus 1% non-retro for 2016-17 (same proposal as last bargaining session); 0 for 2017-18; and 0 for 2018-19.
