Atlantic Baptist Women InterMission Conference

BWA Women Executive Director Merritt Johnston was blessed to serve at the ABW InterMission Conference this weekend at Crandall University in Moncton, Canada. Join us in giving thanks for the faithful commitment of these women who seek to further God's global mission through partnering, serving, learning, and growing. Join us in prayer for Tera-Mae Schut (pictured in the center) who has been selected as the new ABW Executive Director and for new ABW President Katie Jamer Jewett (pictured on the right). We also pray for the women pictured in the second photo who graduated with theology degrees and were gifted with beautiful quilts in recognition of their academic achievement.

Evangelism Emphasis Month

Compelled by the Great Commission, the BWA leads with a passionate commitment to Gospel witness in every place and among all people, conscious that it is the vocation of the church to share the good news of Christ. With that vision in mind, we invite all Baptists to unite in our global evangelism emphasis throughout the month of May. Visit BaptistWorld.org/evangelism-month for resources to help you and your church share holistic witness in your communities and contexts.

A Prayer from South Africa

God,

How wonderful it is, how pleasant,

to be healed of the corrosive disease of racism and separation;

and to live as your people together in harmony.

Your Spirit will then fill the hearts and the minds of all people.

Nobody will be judged any more on the basis of race or colour;

but all will be ruled with justice and integrity.

The war will end and the people together will rebuild the country.

There will be no reference to the colour of the skin,

for all will be regarded as the people of God,

the people created in your image.

And this will be the beginning of what you have promised –

the life that never ends.
