THE SCIENCE OF WELL BEING
Is there a science to happiness? Pastor Joel and Amy are going to take the Yale University course, “The Science of Well Being” offered free online through Coursera.org and invite you to take it too. Starting June 4th, they will be hosting a Facebook Live discussion of what they’ve learned and would love for you to join in the discussion. Watch the Dayspring Facebook page for the live discussion at Thursdays at noon starting June 4.
WEAR ORANGE WITH MOMS DEMAND
Friday, June 5th is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, followed by Wear Orange weekend on June 6th and 7th. Wear Orange is an important visual moment to show our solidarity as we raise awareness and show our support for gun violence prevention. Gun violence is not taking a break during the COVID-19 pandemic and neither is Moms Demand Action - so this year - that moment is going virtual. Join a private Phoenix Wear Orange 2020 Facebook event on June 6th at 1 pm with a theme of 'Healing through the Arts'. Please RSVP here to provide your email so that we can send you the invite link.
GIVING GARDEN
The giving garden will host a garden market every Wednesday from 7:30-8:00am - or until the tomatoes get too hot! Stop by the garden in our parking lot to see what fresh treats are available! (Cash only please.)
TAKING CARE: LIVING AND LOVING WITH MEMORY LOSS
Our support group for caregivers of someone with memory loss held our meeting on Zoom for the first time on May 18. It was absolutely wonderful to be together again! The additional challenges of Covid-19 have made our mutually supportive group even more meaningful. We have decided that for now we will meet twice a month. The next Zoom meeting will be at 10:30 on Monday, June 1. We welcome anyone who cares for a person with memory loss. Please email Pastor Shirley for more information. This group welcomes anyone from the community, as well as Dayspring members.
