Cynthia will be working for Constellation in the Talent Management and Organization Development Team.

Advent T-Shirts Are Back!!

What : Two styles of Advent t-shirts (tapered fit v-neck and standard fit crew neck). Sizes available are Adult Medium through Adult 3XL.

When : Sunday May 28 and Sunday June 4th following all three service times.

Where : In the lobby off the narthex you will find Diane Bieberbach and the t-shirts ready for your purchase.

How : Bring with you $15 in cash or check made out to Church of the Advent.

The last time we had these for sale was 2017! We wear them whenever Advent is doing something as a group and especially when we are doing something in the community. We are asking all walkers in the Memorial Day Parade to wear them.

Additionally, the Kennett Square Preschool Co-op will be having a Kona Ice Truck fundraiser in our parking lot that day AND Advent will offer parking for a $10 donation to the VA Hospital of Coatesville. Jay will be in contact with details as they come.

Bible Study

"The Book of Common Prayer"

Wednesdays, 10am – 11:30am via Zoom

The group's current project is to look at the liturgical traditions of the church as found in the “Book of Common Prayer.” We will be using the earliest 1662 English version (still the official prayer book of the Church of England) as well as the 1928 and 1979 Episcopal editions. This will let us explore the evolution of both liturgical forms and our language and will provide insight to how traditions both change and stay constant.

Welcome to a Life of Faith in the Episcopal Church

Do you have questions about the Episcopal Church? Do you wonder about some of Advent’s worship practices? Unsure about terms like laity, diocese, and unction? Answers to these questions and so much more are covered in the book Welcome to a Life of Faith in the Episcopal Church by Megan Castellan. Please borrow one of the six copies found in the back of the church, read it, and return it for another parishioner to enjoy.

Summer Jam

When: Saturday, June 10th from 1-4pm

Where: St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley, 2475 St. Peter's Rd Malvern, PA 19355

Who: For all diocesan children, youth, and their families, the Summer Youth Jam is Youth Ministry's celebration of the end of the school and program year with a big party.

What: There will be water slides, food, a DJ, games, food, and major fun. Did we say food!? Great afternoon of fellowship and fun! Please let Emma ([email protected]) know if you are planning on attending!
