Crusade for Children -

Since 1955, the Archdiocese of Louisville has contributed millions of dollars to Crusade for Children. This community-wide effort changes the lives of children with special needs, and families and Catholic schools in the archdiocese have benefited directly from the Crusade. When giving by check, please make the check payable to the Cathedral and put the word “Crusade” in the memo line.

Let us join together at the Cathedral to take

part in this significant moment in the history

for our country as well as our local Catholic community.

A Warm Cathedral Welcome. . .

to two seminarians who are joining us here this summer: David Hairston II and George Olokojo. David comes to us from Long Island by way of Richmond, Virginia. George is native of Uganda. George is in the first half of his seminary years while David is in the last half. The two of them will share the third-floor apartment of the rectory. Both men attend St. Meinrad Seminary is southern Indiana.

Throughout the summer, David and George will be joining us in the life and ministry of the Cathedral as part of their pastoral formation. They will assist with a variety of parish ministries and liturgical responsibilities while also spending time learning more about parish life, pastoral leadership, outreach, and the daily work of serving a vibrant Cathedral community. They will also have opportunities to engage with parishioners, assist with faith formation and outreach efforts, and participate in the many ministries.
