Pop-Up Market is a Huge Success!

Peabody's 8th grade entrepreneurs would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who visited the Pop-Up Marketplace! The business teams sold out of their inventory and everyone at ARO, BetterBowl, PowerUps, Pocket Change, and Study Stick are grateful for your enthusiasm and support.

It was a long journey from initial brainstorming and ideation to product development and sales. This process provided Peabody's 8th graders with a unique experience and a way to showcase skills sometimes not featured in their other classes. A number of students are even considering continuing their businesses after the conclusion of the class!

Congratulations to our Peabody Track Team!

Our track team had a very successful first meet out at Walton Middle School!
All the runners did a great job, and special shout-outs to:

Sienna Robinson: 2nd in 6th grade 100M!!
Ivy Lyman: tied for 3rd in 6th grade 400M
Reese McCardle: 3rd in 6th grade 1600M

Last but not least, one of the greatest moments of the evening was watching our single relay consisting of Caroline, Ananya, Sophie, and Ivy place 4th, having never attempted a true track relay, before. Their baton handoffs were terrific and their team focus was fantastic!
Hovercraft Project

Last Friday, our 4th, 5th and 6th graders got the opportunity to participate in the Hovercraft Project and wow! What a fantastic day! Students were grouped with students in other grade levels and worked together to engineer their hovercraft to detailed specifications. Team Leaders learned the steps needed and took that information back to their teammates. Then, scientific testing of the hovercraft began! The day culminated with a distance and speed competition, and then students pulled adults from the audience to have a ride. We hope to participate in this incredible program again!
