Note from Jean Behnke
Dear Parents,

As you know, this year, our hardworking team of educators and health workers have come together, often weekly, to ensure that our school could remain open. We are so grateful to Rebecca, Kathy, Bruce, Ryan, Marilyn, Scotty, Holly, and Julianne, the members of our COVID Task Force. They have dedicated countless hours of research and service to keep us safe and healthy. We are also grateful to you, our families, for your dedication to our policies and procedures. Thank you!

At our most recent talk force meeting, we talked about what a challenging stage of the pandemic we are in right now. Many adults (but not all) are vaccinated, but children are not. Travel restrictions are beginning to lift, and other options are opening to us.

Navigating safely through the final weeks of school with our students, faculty, and staff healthy is our goal. To that end, we are hoping that everyone will consider putting off leisure travel until summer vacation begins on June 10. How we have missed our families and friends!

Staying vigilant with distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing continues to be important as we keep our eye on the goal of protecting our school community through the end of the year.

We are almost there! Let’s stick together and make it over the finish line and into the long, lovely days of summer, family and friends, vacations, picnics, barbecues, time at the beach, hiking, and getting back onto our bikes (and off the peloton!). Thank you so much for the many ways you support our school.

With gratitude,

Jean
