Congrats to the athletes that competed in the L.A. Jets meet! It was long and hot but, so exciting to be back at the USATF meets! There is no practice today, the schools are closed, please see below for practice this week. We will have a very IMPORTANT parent meeting on Tuesday at 5:45 at practice. It is very important that you are there. We really need to make sure our team is set, We have over 100 athletes. We will need help with bibs, tents and having water and snacks for the athletes at the meet!!

Many of you applied for new USATF cards instead of renewing yours. YOU MUST SEND IN A NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE. All athletes need to check their USATF profile and upload your birth certificate if you purchased a new card. Athletes CAN NOT be registered for meets until this is done. The deadline for the Shockwave meet is Tuesday May 31st. so please check to make sure your birth has been verified. If you have not got your USATF card yet You must do it today!! Please follow the steps below!! If this gets done after the deadline the late fee will double the cost and you will need to pay a new meet fee.

If you are having trouble Please call the National office early Tuesday morning to get help, they are on east coast time!!

I contacted via text many of you if there was a problem with your registration on Friday. Please make sure you have taken care of any issues before Tuesday. You can check on athletic.net to see if your athletes has been registered. The coaches will be making changes by Tuesday night by 10:00 pm. Any changes after that will have a late fee added.  

1) Go to the usatf.org/membership and get your card and upload your birth document all info is on our website valleyunitedstriders.com No athlete can be registered for a meet without this. 

2) Go to our website and fill out the team registration form for each athlete (Coaches should do this too) valleyunitedstriders.com

3) Order your uniform by Friday May 27th

4) Pay the $100.00 team fee for each Athlete 

5) Pay the June $80.00 Facility fee (only one per family) if you have more than one child pay only $80.00)

6) Pay the Shockwave meet fee. ( only athletes with paid team fees, Facility fees, and meet fees will be registered)

It is very important that you get your USATF car today to compete with us. visit usatf.org/membership to purchase your card IMPORTANT you must choose our team Valley United team #15 and upload a birth document to the national office to receive your card.

Please see the link below to copy the UASTF waiver. All athletes must bring this by Thursday and give it to Coach Mike Russell to turn in when he picks up the packet.

As you know this meet is a mandatory meet and if you want to run an event at the association you must receive a qualifying time for THAT event.

Shockwave Invitational meet - June 3rd- 5th - Cerritos College - mandatory meet. You must hit the USATF standard to compete at The Association meet on June 10th . We will register all athletes for this meet! 

I was just informed that they will no longer be charging a parking fee for this meet.

Team Volunteers needed ! 

We need a few team parents per age group that can assist the coaches with taking roll and other duties at practice and the meets. Please let your age group coaches know if you can help It takes a lot to form our team from so many other teams!!
