National Safety Month

June is National Safety Month. In order to help our K-12 schools and institutions of higher education provide safe educational environments, the Illinois School and Campus Safety Program would like to remind our readers that they can visit the Illinois School and Campus Safety Resource Center website at www.ilschoolsafety.org to view resources on a variety of safety topics including: school violence, behavioral threat assessment, interpersonal violence, health and wellness, preparedness, and more.
Final Chance to Register: Campus Emergencies Prevention, Response and Recovery on June 24-25 in Rockford

The Illinois School and Campus Safety Program, in collaboration with the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at Louisiana State University, is pleased to announce a session of the "Campus Emergencies Prevention, Response and Recovery" course will be held June 24-25, 2019 in Rockford, IL. This course aims to train participating stakeholders to respond to campus emergencies effectively and cooperatively. Participants will examine successful, nationally accepted emergency management principles that can be used to address the wide range of threats and hazards that educational entities face.
