Headmaster for the Day, Miss Clare Anderson, aimed to please her fellow classmates today.

She allowed a dress down day and delivered popsicles to every student in the school!

Happy Friday, everyone!

We are headed into the final week of classes with our PreK and K families and the rest of our students following close behind!

We also will be moving ahead with Dr. Leonard Sax as our next guest speaker, date TBD. Below is his latest article. It’s funny that an article like this needs to be written in today’s world, but you can rest assured we look to studies like these and will continue to improve our efforts surrounding how we reach boys and girls. Dr. Sax’s approach is a very clinical/medical approach but I appreciate how he says it in very “down to earth” vernacular. Enjoy!

Miss Anderson decided she would have a pizza lunch and invited a few friends down to her office. Mr. Follaco thought he'd just help himself!

3rd grade scholars put their nature studies knowledge to the test playing the Food Chain Game. The crickets eat the popcorn, the anoles chase the crickets, and finally the owl gets them all!

Gardening Group

Do you love working in the garden?

Please email Mr. Follaco if you'd be interested in joining the gardening group. We are hoping to find a few volunteers to commit a little time once a month while the gardens are in bloom. Ideally we will have a big work day in the fall and spring followed by weekly, rotating maintenance. If we get enough people we can consider a Marian Grotto near the 3rd grade space!

CB Golf Swing

Calling all golfers!

Please reach out to Mr. Follaco if you are willing to work with Chesterton Academy of Rochester to help get this year's golf tournament up off the ground. We need two people to join the committee. Some of the tasks that you may or may not have to participate in would include:

  • Procure sponsors and items for raffle
  • Help set up on Sunday, September 8th

It's always a fun day and is an important fundraiser for both schools. Many hands make light work! Thank you for considering!

OptionC Forms Coming Soon

You may have noticed how easy it was to re-enroll for the next school year using our online application. We have also eliminated the need for the paper packet you were used to. This means you will be able to update your forms for next year by filling them out on OptionC. You will be notified when it is time to do so. Please ensure completion as soon as possible. Thank you!

Thank you St. Jerome's

As is tradition, our last day of school, June 12th, will start off with Mass at St. Jerome's. Fr. Leone and the staff have been so hospitable to us this year, and every year since we moved into this building. Please consider sending your child in with a donation that we can collect and send to St. Jerome's for always being there for us. We are blessed to be so close with such a Faith filled parish!

Congratulations to the middle school athletes who competed this season on the Bishop Kearney Track & Field Modified Team.

We are proud of how well you all represent St. John Bosco Schools!
