Message from President Billie Araiza

|
Greetings!
I hope everyone had the opportunity to attend the 45th Annual
SNR Conference over the weekend, it was bittersweet. There
was a Celebration of Life for our beloved, Bev, and other
Soroptimists from our region, who have passed this last year.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate our SI Chico Club and
Sierra Nevada Region Ruby Award winner, Alexa. It was
wonderful to have her recognized for her contributions. She is
an amazing person who has done so much for Butte County
and the women who live here. SI Chico, also received some
awards at the region level. You will hear more about this from
our Delegates during our Wednesday business meeting.
Everyone should have received an evite for our end-of-the-year club celebration picnic at Merlo Park on May 16, 2021. This is an opportunity for our club members to actually see each other in person and celebrate another successful club year. There will be food, fun, and laughter! I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at our picnic celebration. Be sure to RSVP soon, there are special early bird registration items you won’t want to miss out on. Did I mention there will be games and raffle prizes too? If you didn’t receive the evite in your email, please be sure to let Joyce know. You will need to pre-register for the event so we know how much food to purchase. The food will be individually wrapped. Wednesday, May 12th, is the last day to register for the picnic, so we can provide a final headcount to the caterer. There is more information about the end-of-the-year club celebration picnic at Merlo Park further down in this eblast.
This Wednesday is our Business Meeting, so please be sure to join us on Zoom at noon. As
always, I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces.
With Gratitude,
President Billie
