Gloucester Loves Our Small Businesses!


April 30-May 6 is National Small Business week, which makes this a great time to shop or dine at your favorite spots in Gloucester County.


Own a business? Sign up for the Small Business Week summit with the U.S. Small Business Administration.


The Gloucester County Economic Development office also offers a long list of incentives and grants to help businesses thrive in our community. You can learn more about those resources here.


The Gloucester Farmers Market returns Saturday, May 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Historic Ware Church (parking just past the Church at 7877 John Clayton Memorial Highway). It will be the second Saturday of the month, May through September. This month, they will have a free, outdoor yoga class at 10:00 a.m. and a community hymn sing in the Historic Church at 11:00 a.m. There are currently 54 vendor sites registered, with 90% of the vendors being local Gloucester small businesses or artisans.  

"I just like being part of something that can help the community. I don't have the time to be a volunteer fireman or medic or anything like that, so this is a way for me to give back."

Kid's Free Fishing Day!

June 3rd | 10AM-1PM

The Department of Wildlife Resources & Beaverdam Park are teaming up to sponsor a free day of fishing for children at the park. Fishing poles and bait will be provided for registered participants along with a yummy hotdog & potato chip lunch afterwards.


***Parents, you must stay and participate with your little ones. You wont want to miss their reaction when they get a big one on the line.
