OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI
Dear St. Rita Parents/Guardians,

Last Friday, it was so nice to see the church filled with the Grandparents and Special Friends of our students who celebrated First Friday Mass and the May Crowning with us. I hope they all enjoyed the time they spent visiting our classrooms and interacting with their special St. Rita student.

This week we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurse Appreciation Week. Teachers and nurses in Catholic school model the Gospel in all that they do. The relationships they build with students affect both students and teachers throughout their lives. St. Rita School appreciates the commitment and service to Catholic education from all our teachers and our nurse. Every day this week our students have been giving a “shout out” to our very dedicated teachers/staff. Please take some time out of your busy schedule to send a quick thank-you e-mail or note to your child’s teacher and if your child is a frequent visitor to our school nurse, please acknowledge Mrs. Palma also. Without our caring faculty and staff your children would not receive the quality education they do here at St. Rita’s.

Our second grade students are looking forward to seeing the church filled again this coming Saturday at 10:00 to celebrate their 1st Communion. A very special thank you goes out to Mrs. Halloran and Mrs. Landino for preparing our students to receive Jesus for the first time. Please keep these students and their parents in your daily prayers.

You may not be unaware that key budgetary decisions are directly tied to an estimated number of students expected to enroll in the coming year. For instance, enrollment numbers determine the appropriate number of teachers needed to provide the best educational experience for students, the number of textbooks that must be ordered and the space still available to prospective students at each grade level. With the restructuring currently occurring within the Archdiocesan school network we have many families looking to enroll for the 2019-2020 school year. Re-registration deposits of $150 per child and the family tuition agreement are now past due.   In order to guarantee your child’s spot and be eligible to apply for tuition assistance, your $150 deposit per child and your family tuition agreement must be turned in. If your child will not be returning to St. Rita School, please notify the main office now.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 P.M. for the H.S.A. Wine and Cheese Social at which time our volunteers will be recognized and the H.S.A. Executive Board will be installed.

Much excitement is growing around our summer camp program which will begin the week of June 17 here at St. Rita School. You may sign-up for either full-day or half-day sessions. Our camp is open to students ages 4-14. Information about the camp is posted on our website.
Students began wearing summer uniforms last week.  Please refer to the Student-Parent Handbook for the specific summer uniform requirements. As you enjoy the sunshine and warm weather, have a splendiferous week.  Happy Mother’s Day to all! Thank you for entrusting your child to our care.

God Bless,
