Community Update
Quail Creek Country Club POA
Dear Residents,
As a reminder, the Community Update sent on Saturday, May 2, included the following information about Governor Ducey’s Executive Order to “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected”.
Governor Doug Ducey announced an extension to Arizona’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected,” on Thursday, April 29, 2020 while laying a step-by-step approach to “ Return Stronger .”  The Executive Order also continues Arizona gradual reopening and to begin partial operations starting next week.

The latest order promotes engaging in outdoor exercise activities, but only appropriate physical distancing practices are used maintaining physical distancing at least six feet from any other person, consistent with guidance from CDC.
This week the General Manager, David Jones, met with club presidents to discuss guidelines for the dog park, tennis and pickleball courts. We appreciated their input as we prepared to reopen some of the facilities.

Guidelines for the facilities have been sent to club leaders to email to their members. Guidelines will also be posted at the dog park, tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts.

We have ordered signage to be placed at each location with rules from the Association and updates from the CDC.

We ask that pop-up sports, like pickleball, be discontinued in the streets.  Please note that pop-up sport events had not been approved by the POA.

Starting Thursday, May 7, 2020 you will be able to use the facilities listed above.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020 Arizona State Governor Doug Ducey stated that restaurants can reopen on Monday, May 11. We are excited and prepared to reopen the Grill at Quail Creek. Based on the guidelines by the department of health, seating is limited and reservations are required. Please read the Grill policies before making your reservation. “Food to Go” from the Grill will continue to be available.

The Madera Clubhouse renovation is progressing nicely. Please take a few minutes to review the most recent photographs, taken on May 6, 2020, courtesy of Jeff Krueger.

Starting Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9, 2020, the parking lot at the Administration Building will be graded, paved, and striped. During this time, the ALC will issue permits from the Kino Conference Room, 1490 N Quail Range Loop (by the Grill). ALC business hours will be 1pm-4pm Thursday, May 7 and 8am-4pm Friday, May 8. No other ALC business will be conducted on these dates. Social distancing practices will be observed. All services will return to the Administration Building on Monday, May 11. For those wishing to use the dog park, please park your vehicle on N Quail View Loop between the 4-way intersection and the model home village. Use the sidewalk to access the park.

As changes happen day to day, we are amazed at the compassion, cooperation and resilience of our Quail Creek residents and the community we call home.

Take care,

David Jones and Quail Creek Board of Directors
