PHOENIX AWARD: This award is given in recognition of an individual who has done an exceptional job on a task or committee.

GOLDEN ACORN: This award is given in recognition of an individual who has given outstanding service to the school community. It is to recognize volunteer service "above and beyond" a particular job description.

International Food Night

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is excited to invite you to the first-ever International Food Night at ICS in the Lyceum on Tuesday, May 9, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

This event is an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures represented in our school community.

Join us for an evening of delicious food from around the world, as we showcase some of the best dishes from different countries and regions. From savory to sweet, spicy to mild, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

At International Community School, we believe in the importance of diversity and inclusion. We recognize and celebrate the unique perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that each person brings to our community. Food is one of the many ways that we can come together, share our traditions, and learn from each other.

We hope that you will join us for this special event, as we celebrate the richness and diversity of our community through food. Let's unite and enjoy the flavors of the world together! Please contact Tarek Azoz at [email protected] for any questions.

Adolescent Parenting Workshop

Parenting an adolescent or teen? Interested in finding connections, resources, and support?

PEPS (in collaboration with your PTSA) would like to offer a tailored 1-hour free workshop for the parents of ICS featuring any of the adolescent parenting topics that are most relevant to you in this time of vulnerability.

Please fill out a 2-question interest form to let us know what you would like to learn, the parenting concerns that are rising for you, and the questions about teen development that are bothering you.

Come and learn from subject matter experts and also participate in small group discussions PEPS style.

Quote from a PAT participant:

“…I found that learning alongside and making connections with other parents of teens is such a powerful way to increase my skills and confidence as a parent. Just knowing…that we all encounter challenges and can face them together…makes it easier to handle the challenges.”
