Malibu Launches Palisades Fire Rebuild Dashboard

The City is pleased to announce the release of the Palisades Fire Rebuild Dashboard. Community members can view the rebuild progress, including initial rebuild center visits, follow-up visits, planning application submissions, review times, and more. The dashboard also includes a current, real-time map. The data presented is pulled directly from the City’s project tracking management software. Additional information will be added throughout the Building phase of the rebuild process.

LA County Safe, Clean Water Program -- Needs Assessment Survey

Community input will remain critical to planning, implementing, and tracking the region's strategic post-fire projects. In 2018, LA County voters passed Measure W to create the Safe, Clean Water Program through a special parcel tax. The Safe, Clean Water Program works directly with communities, municipalities, agencies, and individuals to enhance communities by investing in stormwater initiatives that improve water quality and increase the local water supply.

Survey responses are anonymous and take less than five minutes to complete.

RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT

The Resilient Rebuild Resource Guide Now Available

The County of Los Angeles has released an introductory resource guide for planning, designing, and constructing healthy, fire resilient, and efficient buildings and properties. The resource guide is for property owners—and design and building professionals supporting property owners—faced with post-fire rebuilding. The resource guide also supports those considering retrofitting existing structures and/or building new structures regardless of fire impacts.

The guide includes currently available incentives & rebates, and links to other trusted information with fact sheets and checklists for property owners.

Pepperdine School of Law - Disaster Relief Clinic

In response to the devastating fires that have impacted so many in the Los Angeles area, the Pepperdine Caruso Law Legal Clinics are launching pro bono disaster response programs to support our neighbors in need.

The Disaster Relief Clinic will serve clients who have suffered losses in the 2024 and 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires through its staff attorneys and supervised law students. This pro bono practice is free to clients, addressing FEMA applications and appeals, insurance matters, renters’ issues and questions, and related matters.

Community members who would like to meet with a Disaster Relief Clinic attorney or team of supervised law students may complete an intake form, and a staff attorney or law student will respond to each request.

Please note, filling out this form does not create an attorney-client relationship.
