Introducing Our Member Spotlight Series
This month we are kicking off our new Member Spotlight series as part of our 50th Anniversary celebration. You can find the full Q&As on our new blog, and we'll be including snippets in each newsletter. We hope you enjoy them!
Ask anyone in the agricultural space in Sonoma County if they know Wendy Krupnick, and the answer will likely be a resounding “Yes!” A longtime resident of the county, Wendy is an environmental activist, seed saver, educator, volunteer, and community builder. She also owns and operates Chiatri de Laguna Farm in Santa Rosa, on the grounds of the former D. Grossi Egg Ranch (a charter member of Farm Trails), and is the volunteer coordinator for Farm Trails’ annual fundraiser, the Gravenstein Apple Fair. Read the interview.
There has been a resurgence in advocacy for local apples over the past decade, anchored by the last remaining apple cannery in Sonoma County, Manzana Products Company/North Coast Organic in Sebastopol. In this member spotlight, we chat with Alissa Trinei, Sebastopol native, Manzana’s Marketing Director, and longtime Gravenstein Apple Fair volunteer, to understand where the apple industry has been—and where it’s going. Read the interview.
Farm Trails at the Apple Blossom Parade!

To celebrate our Golden Jubilee anniversary, Farm Trails team got decked out and walked in the Apple Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 29, in downtown Sebastopol! We handed out the 50th Anniversary edition of our iconic Map & Guide and enjoyed a beautiful spring day honoring local apples and our agricultural heritage. Thanks to the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce for organizing this fun event. (Photos: Lisa Rose Photography)
