NVTA's FY2026–2031 Six Year Program

 Public Comment Period Is Almost Over!

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback and participated in the public hearing. If you haven't provided feedback yet, there's still time! We are accepting comments until May 17 at 11:59 p.m.

27 transportation projects submitted by eight Northern Virginia localities are under consideration for NVTA regional revenue funding. The project proposals span bus transit, rail, roadway improvements, transportation technology, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and intersection and interchange upgrades.

Collaboration Across the Region

NVTA is proud to support our partners in improving Northern Virginia's transportation network. Together, we advocate for the region’s transportation needs and work to secure the resources necessary to advance vital projects.

The Authority receives endorsement requests from regional agencies and local jurisdictions in Northern Virginia. These agencies and jurisdictions pursue federal grants and programs to help fund their transportation projects. The Authority unanimously approved a letter of endorsement for a joint application from Prince William County and the City of Manassas Park for a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program grant. The program supports the development of a comprehensive safety action plan that identifies the most significant community roadway safety concerns, and the implementation of projects and strategies to address roadway safety issues.

Advancing Project Delivery

Kristen Sarik, Regional Transportation Planner, NVTA, provided an update on the status of NVTA's Regional Revenue Fund projects. Her presentation covered project delivery milestones, highlighted completed and upcoming investments across all funding programs, and outlined external funding for 135 NVTA Regional Fund projects.
