Code the Future: BSP’s Tech Camp for Kids
It is critical to expand opportunities for low-wage communities to include digital access and skills. BSP’s Digital Literacy program offers access to tech devices and digital education to close the digital divide for property service workers and their families.
Building Skills Partnership in collaboration with SEIU-USWW, was thrilled to host a Tech Development Bootcamp for children! Students learned HTML & CSS coding and even built their first video game.

I am a former body builder and played five different instruments as a child/teen.

Policy Committees in Action
In our Sustainability Committee, members learned about best practices for Universal Waste Recycling and how the City of Los Angeles is not compliant with the current California Building Code. Thank you to Richard Ludt, Director of Environmental Affairs and LEED AP at IRS Demo, for the presentation.
Lastly, we closed out the month with our Security and Emergency Preparedness Committee, where members learned about cybersecurity vulnerabilities associated with devices, cameras, and technologies commonly used in our industry. Thank you to Chris Peckham, Chief Operating Officer at Ollivier, for speaking.
