Royal Caribbean's third Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas, began trials in April. The 250,800 ton vessel is set to enter service this July with 7-night cruises to the Western Mediterranean. In November, the ship repositions to Port Everglades (Orlando), Florida to offer service to the Caribbean.
Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady recently arrived at the Port of San Diego for the first time as part of Virgin Voyages' maiden season on the West Coast. In early May, the ship will be repositioning to the Pacific Northwest ahead of Virgin's first season in Alaska. The sailing offers will include 7 to 12-night cruises to Alaska and Canada.
Royal Caribbean has officially begun welcoming guests to its first Royal Beach Club in Europe. The cruise line opened Royal Beach Club Santorini in April as part of its “Ultimate Santorini Day,” which is a full-day shore excursion that provides the opportunity to visit Oia, Fira and the new club. The club will be available to guests sailing on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Silversea cruises.
