Mother Nature Class

Nature is full of moms, some good (chickens will dissolve their own bones to make sure their babies have enough calcium), some bad (cuckoo moms lay their eggs in other birds’ nests) and some just plain strange (hamster moms sometimes eat their babies).

Come learn about the wide range of mothering in nature at our May class, just for adults, on May 15. This class is May 15 from 4-6 pm and is $25 per adult (10% discount for members). Includes discussion, games, activities, and an adult beverage.

Entrance Construction

The Zoo’s entrance and parking lot will be under construction soon (exact timing is dependent on weather and scheduling factors). There will be closed signs on the entrance off of Wall Street, and arrows pointing visitors to the temporary entrance off of Greenlawn Avenue. It will still lead to the usual parking lot.

Because we’ll temporarily have two-way traffic in a narrow space, we won't be allowing parking along the Zoo’s perimeter fence. We know this is an inconvenience, but hopefully it won’t last too long.
