It turns out May showers are going to bring June flowers this year! It's been a long twelve months and as school is wrapping up and warmer summer days are drawing near, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring back popular community events where we can safely gather outdoors and celebrate summer - together as a community.

We are naturally drawn to the outdoors and as you hit the trails along the shores of Equalizer Lake and Houts Reservoir don't forget these important trail reminders and don't be afraid to remind your neighbors either. Together, we can all be good community stewards and respect our certified wild natural open space, while allowing our natural habitat to thrive.

A friendly reminder, vaccinations are readily available for children and adults ages 12 years of age and older to help protect against COVID-19. Visit the Larimer County website to locate a vaccine clinic near you.

The health and safety of our community remains a priority. As lifestyle engagements return this season, please rest assured everyone is doing their part to follow county guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event experience for all. While the majority of our engagements remain free to the public, registration will be required (in advance or onsite) in the instance we need to communicate with attendees before or after the events.
What's Happening
Community Food Truck Rally
High Plains School Parking Lot - June 24th
We had such a blast last year that we are planning TWO community rallies for Centerra residents this year - one summer and one in the fall! Ditch the dishes on a warm Thursday summer night and head outdoors to enjoy dinner with your family and neighbors. Food trucks will roll in at 5PM and the DJ will provide the beats until 7PM. Blankets and lawn chairs are highly recommended. This event is open to ALL Centerra residents - click here to sign up!
HPEC Annual Plant Sale is still LIVE!
Over 100 varieties of beautiful Colorado native plants are waiting to be purchased and HPEC plans to restock throughout the summer so you can keep adding to your landscaped gardens. All proceeds will go to support HPEC's ecology and horticulture programs. Start shopping here and schedule your pickup.

Monthly Bird Banding
Scheduled the first Saturday of the month from 9-10 a.m. Join Scott Rashid with Colorado Avian Research & Rehabilitation Institute, outdoors to learn and witness why bird banding is so important - register here for the next community meet up.

Community Spotlight: Earth Day!
Caring for our environment.
We rallied the Centerra community once again and this time it was to celebrate Earth Day and complete a major clean-up around the trails, canals and lakes. We are grateful to all the community volunteers and residents that donated their time and took to the 76-acres of open space to collect debris and spruce up the natural areas and wetlands that HPEC oversees. These ongoing efforts are critical, year round, to maintain a healthy environment for our natural habitat. If you're out and about utilizing the trails this year and spot trash, kindly pick it up and dispose of it in one of the available trash receptacles. Together, we can continue to keep our environment clean!
