Artist's Spotlight
Hi, my name is Jeff Vollendorf, I am a member of Pigeon River Artists for 1-1/2 years. I am a fused glass artist. My interest in glass goes back to the early 80s when I helped an artist with stained glass pieces. Unlike stained glass, this glass goes into a kiln and heated until it fuses or melts together. Varied temps create different effects, and I use molds to create different shapes. About 12 years ago I took classes at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah. Two years ago I purchased my own kiln and set up a studio in my home. I’ve been creating glass art pieces for myself and others ever since.
