Quote of the Month:
"[My visit to Los Angeles] was a great opportunity for collaboration with impressive people. We brought a different culture to the brainstorming sessions, which deepened my understanding of the culture, politics, society and knowledge of the U.S."

Save the Date for IVCLA's Citizen Diplomacy Celebration!
The Citizen Diplomacy Celebration showcases the importance of citizen diplomacy and global dialogue. It is always a festive event that brings together members of the Los Angeles Consular Corps, elected officials, IVCLA members and guests, and our international visitors for delicious food, international wines and the opportunity to raise funds for IVCLA's important work. Guests can bid on exciting items in the silent auction, purchase tickets for the Year of International Dining drawing and make connections with Angelenos and members of the international community.
This year we are proud to recognize

What's Been Happening at IVCLA this Spring?
IVCLA was incredibly proud to receive the L.A. Area Chamber of Commerce Bob Kleist Leadership Award on May 2nd at the Chamber’s 93rd annual World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast – a gathering of nearly 900 prominent business, government and civic leaders and one of the largest celebrations of global trade in the nation!
Last month, IVCLA participated in the 2019 LA2050 Grants Challenge! Thank you to everyone who voted for our proposal during the public voting period! Unfortunately, we fell short of getting enough votes to make it to the final round, but we look forward to building on our Go Global Classroom idea to provide global education programming for LAUSD middle school students in the coming year.
