SBAA Board Changes - Thank You
The St. Brigid Athletic Association would like to extend a Wolfhound Thank You to our outgoing board members.

Rob Hooper - Volleyball Commissioner - has decided to step down as commissioner - please thank Rob for his time in growing the Volleyball program.
Welcome to  Suzanne Glenn as she takes over as the new Volleyball Commissioner - if you have questions about the Volleyball program - please reach out to Suzanne at  [email protected]  .

Scott Kasun - Athletic Director - has decided to transition out of this role after 11 years on the Athletic Association board - the first 6 years as Football Commissioner, and most recently the past 5 years as Athletic Director.   Scott has been monumental in helping to build up the SBAA as well as contributing to many diocesan athletic initiatives.  As Scott's last child now graduates from St. Brigid, he will be missed on the board, but Scott still plans to help out his replacement as well as be active in supporting the Volleyball and Football programs in a number of ways.

Tim Long - current Football Commissioner - will take over as the new Athletic Director, which leaves the SBAA with a need for a new Football Commissioner.  If you're interested in becoming the Football Commissioner, please email  football@gowolfhounds.com

If you run into Rob or Scott - tell them thanks and best of luck to Suzanne and Tim in their new roles.

Iftar Dinner

Tuesday, May 28
7:30 p.m.
Hendricks Hall

You are invited to join us for an Iftar dinner. Iftar is the meal that comes at the end of each day of Ramadan. You and our interfaith guests (especially from Turkish American Society of Ohio - TASO) will enjoy the experience of Iftar and fast breaking with our Muslim neighbors. If you have a neighbor, co-worker or friend who is a Muslim, please invite them to come with you.

Ramadan is the month in which Muslims are required to fast from dawn to dusk, and it can last from 29-30 days. It is a time to empathize with those who are less fortunate and to appreciate what one has. It is a time of personal restraint and renewed focus on moral conduct and
spirituality. Fasting during Ramadan is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. As part of the evening Msgr. Joseph Hendricks will present fasting as it is understood in the Christian tradition and one of Muslim guests will share what it means in the Islamic tradition. We begin at 7:30 PM and should end about 9:00. There is no charge, but we do need to know how many are coming so we have enough food. (The food is being provided by our Muslim friends from TASO. If you would like to give a free will offering that is fine but your presence is what is most important.) Please register online or call the Parish Office by May 21, 2019.

This series is open to all 2019-20 high school students as well as anyone 18 and older in the parish. We will use the book Everybody Always by Bob Goff, which can be purchased on Amazon or through other vendors. Participation is free & sign up is required.
