COVID Update  The Government of Ontario continues to update its directives affecting Ontario regulated health professionals to address the recent increase in transmission rates of COVID-19 and its variants. These recent updates mainly relate to the hospital sector and are not expected to affect the practice of most RPs. To stay up to date, please consult the information on our website.

Supervision Survey CRPO’s mandate is to regulate Registered Psychotherapists in the public interest. Clinical supervision is an important aspect of providing safe, effective psychotherapy. We would value your participation in this survey, which will help shape future policies and priorities around clinical supervision. The survey will take at least 10 minutes to complete (more if you choose to provide detailed comments). CRPO will report on the results of this survey and resulting initiatives.

Education Programs Recognized The Master of Education/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa is the latest education program to receive recognition from CRPO. This means that the program sufficiently enables students to develop the required competencies for entry-to-practice in psychotherapy. Council Election Results

The nomination period for the District 1, 5 & 6 election closed on April 22, 2021.  One nomination was received for District 1 (West) – Heidi Ahonen, RP One nomination was received for District 5 (South West) – Miranda Monastero, RP And one nomination was received for District 6 (Central West) – Radhika Sundar, RP As such, we are pleased to share that each candidate has been acclaimed to serve on CRPO Council for a three-year term, and no election is required at this time. Congratulations!
