Thank you to all our IRONMAN Volunteers that not only served our athletes from near and far, but helped raise much needed funding for our many Programs and Services! Interfaith had 461 volunteers log over 2,000 volunteer hours for IRONMAN Texas! The Ironman Foundation awarded Interfaith with a $10,000 Community Grant for the Interfaith Food Pantry and Disaster Assistance Programs! We are humbled by your continued generosity and commitment to community.

Rev. Jerry Roberts of Unity of The Woodlands has been working with Glennie Scott and Judy England for years. Glennie is the consummate pianist, and Judy is a long-time vocal performer originally from New Orleans. Together this group has performed numbers of times in live music venues around Houston. This is an evening of fun you don't want to miss! Unity of the Woodlands and the performers are glad for the opportunity to support Interfaith!

Cancer Support Group
  
Canopy is the first-of-its-kind cancer survivorship center in Montgomery County, offering a wide variety of programs and services to address the emotional, physical and social needs of those touched by cancer. Canopy features a caring community of hope, healing and empowerment to enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by cancer as well as those who support cancer survivors during their journeys. Here, survivors and their supporters will find an inviting, comfortable place where staff and volunteers help survivors address issues and concerns, relax and find ways to look and feel their very best - all in one comprehensive and supportive environment.
Canopy offers a wide variety of services for the community's cancer survivors, including:
  • Oncology Nurse Navigator
  • A cooking demonstration/teaching kitchen for nutritional education and counseling
  • A large support group room for caregiver support sessions, yoga classes, tai chi, music,
    art and dance therapy, "Ask the Doctor" sessions, and so much more
  • A small support group room for private counseling, small group counseling
    sessions, smoking cessation classes, meetings with our social worker or dietician,
    and Look Good Feel Better sessions
  • A consultation room for one-on-one counseling and other sensitive discussions
  • An onsite resource library and electronic resources
  • A massage therapy room for individualized massage treatment
  • A private dressing room area for breast prosthesis and bra fittings
  • A wig salon for individuals coping with hair loss

The responsibilities of the sponsor are to provide cake, cupcakes or treats, drinks and paper goods for 50 residents along with 10 to 15 small bingo prizes or 5-6 $5 gift cards.

May Food Pantry Needs

Each month, Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home bound seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to Seniors in the senior complexes once a month. Roughly 185 seniors receive monthly grocery deliveries.
