Dear Parents,
The students continue to learn about the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Third Mystery is The Crowning of Thorns. The Fruit of the Mystery is Moral Courage.
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus inside the praetorium and gathered the whole
cohort around him. They stripped off his clothes and threw a scarlet military cloak about him. Weaving a crown out of thorns, they placed it on his head, and a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
Reflect on how Jesus remained resolute even as he was being humiliated. Do we have the
courage to stand up for our convictions even when we are being shamed? Whose opinion
matters more – God’s or those who surround us?
Lord, grant me courage as I go through this day. When I am tempted to give up,
help me to keep going. Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don’t go my way.
And give me courage to do whatever needs to be done. In Jesus’ name, I pray!
Amen

May Christ always be by your side and bless you abundantly.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
In April, I will be doing Postural Screening with all girls in Grade 5 and Grade 7 and all boys in grade 8 during gym. Growth can occur very quickly at this age and some may experience a curvature of the spine. If it is picked up early during a routine screening, therapy can be initiated sooner. Exams occur in my office in a private respectful manner where I observe the back, shoulders, clavicles, rib fullness and hip alignment. Please have your daughter wear a sports bra for gym day, which will stay on during the exam. If I notice a problem, I will contact you for further evaluation by your child’s doctor. If you choose to opt out, I will need a completed exam done by your child’s doctor for their School Health Record by June.
Just a quick reminder:
Please continue to test your child for COVID in the event they develop a sore throat, runny nose, cough with/without fever. We are still seeing cases and it is not gone completely in the State and Community. I have test kits if needed.
Thank you and be well.
Thank you,
