The May Council Meeting covered a wide range of timely regional topics, including flood control, resilience planning, data centers, topics for the September Regional Conference, and more.
Special guests from the South Florida Water Management District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Broward County shared important flood control and resilience updates, including the C&SF Section 203 Study, the Section 219 Authority, the Miami-Dade Back Bay Study, Southern Everglades, and Biscayne Bay Southeastern Everglades Ecosystem Restoration.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District offered an update on key South Florida resilience efforts. The discussion covered flood risk management, navigation, infrastructure, storms, sea level rise, and the importance of a multi-lines-of-defense strategy.
