May 2020
Since making the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Weekend of Events of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon presented by Miron Construction, we have been busy answering questions and moving forward with planning for the 2021 race weekend where we will celebrate the 30th running of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon.

We are grateful for the overwhelming support, understanding and kindness we have received since the announcement. It's times like these that underscore how amazing you all are! Whether you have volunteered or ran with us for years, or just joined us recently, we are humbled by your support and trust.

Thank you for understanding our decision. Like you, our summer and September won’t be the same, but it can be good. We're all in this together and will come out stronger.

We sincerely hope you will stay connected with us and join us September 17-19, 2021 to celebrate your resilience and endurance, our 30 th  Anniversary Weekend, and reaching the finish line together, healthy and strong.

With gratitude,

Tara Perre, Race Director, on behalf of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon Team and Board of Directors

Thank you volunteers!
This month we salute our dedicated group of more than 2,000 volunteers who have made our race weekend special since 1991! Each year, they help every single runner and walker achieve their goals and help spectators and the community get around on race day. Without them, our race wouldn't be so welcoming and fun!

See for yourself in this video, first shown at our Volunteer Appreciation Event.

Volunteer registration will open in summer. Watch   foxcitiesmarathon.org   for details.
Thank you volunteer Board of Directors!
Our volunteer Board of Directors are active all year providing guidance at monthly meetings and serving on committees. They also help with promoting the marathon and volunteer during race weekend.

"We are so fortunate to have a highly engaged and diverse board representing our key sponsors, medical professionals, running organizations, and the community," said Laurie Butz, Community First SVP who provides oversight for the marathon. "In addition to being volunteers many of them have participated in the events as runners, walkers, or parent cheerleaders for the kids run and diaper dash.  They have unique perspectives, but a common passion for making sure the weekend of events is more than a race. They help make it an experience that improves our community all year round."
