Leadership Howard County is excited to announce this year's annual award recipients: Bita Dayhoff, LP '99, Distinguished Alumni, Barb Van Winkle, Leadership Legacy, and Vivian M. Lawyer, LP '92, Unsung Hero. Each will be honored at Leadership's Annual Awards & Graduation Celebration scheduled for Tuesday, June 14 at Ten Oaks Ballroom, beginning at 5:30 pm. It's May and the LE 2022 program year will be wrapping up in the next few weeks. Participants are looking forward to closing activities that include:

May 19 - Synthesis & Success (virtual session) which will be a chance for cohort members to reflect, affirm and consider the accomplishments and tools from their Leadership Essentials experience.

June 9, beginning at 3 pm - LE 2022 Closing Session Celebration at The Meeting House – SAVE THE DATE and plan to JOIN US!
- The Community Impact Project teams will do a handoff presentation with their CIP Host by early June. We're excited to see the incredible outcomes from our CIP teams!
Leadership Essentials – Past and Future!
Planning has begun for Leadership Essentials 2023! Now is a great time to plan your organization’s support for an emerging leader in your organization and for individuals to consider participating in LE 2023! It's not too early to have a conversation about your interest! The 2023 program year will officially launch in mid-July, but watch our webpage and social media for information!

As was announced earlier this spring, Lori Fuchs, LP '02 will be leaving her position as Program Consultant of Loyola's Leadership Essentials program. Lori will be remaining in a consulting capacity after June to assist with a smooth transition for the new program lead. For more details and to apply, please click here.

LHC is planning a few remaining Learning Opportunities for the 2022 program year. Active alumni are invited to join members of the Leadership Premier Class of 2022 for this experience as part of Alumni Learning 2.0. Our next opportunity will take place Monday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 am with a visit to NSA. This opportunity will be conducted both in-person and virtually and preference may be indicated on the sign-up form. Click here to register (the deadline to register is Thursday, May 5).

A special culinary event is planned for Monday, May 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Walkers Tap & Table. Proceeds to benefit Leadership Howard County. Click here for more details and to register. Plan on illuminating the night with Leadership as we honor Stacie Hunt and her 20-year legacy serving LHC and the community-at-large Thursday, June 2, beginning at 5:30 pm. You won't want to miss this special celebration that is planned! This fun-filled evening will feature a special improv performance by "The Spotty Truth", along with a Silent Auction (be on the lookout for more details soon!) The Howard County Commission for Women is looking to fill two vacancies. The Commission was established to promote the economic, social, and political equality of women and has the authority to conduct studies, review progress, recommend action, and carry out activities to support this purpose.
