What a meaningful and memorable way to wrap up our Young Leaders program!
We kicked off our final day giving back with Feeding America, where our group started the morning serving others and making an impact right here in our community.
From there, we headed to the Earth Day celebration, continuing a day centered around service, awareness, and leadership.
We then closed out the program with our annual Young Leaders Celebration Lunch, where participants were joined by their families as we recognized their hard work and growth throughout the year. Certificates were awarded, memories were shared, and the room was filled with so much pride and support.
A couple of special moments from the day:
- Happy 16th Birthday to Ivy Poynter, who chose to start his day by volunteering—such a powerful example of servant leadership!
- Congratulations to Seth Acree, recipient of the Young Leaders Scholarship, recognized for his outstanding essay and the leadership he demonstrated throughout the program.
We also want to extend a sincere thank you to all of our amazing sponsors who support and invest in our Young Leaders program. A special thank you to American Fuji Seal, Kentucky Farm Bureau, and Wilson & Muir Bank & Trust Co. for taking the time to speak with our students today and pour into the next generation of leaders.
Thank you to Old Kentucky Home Country Club for our amazing lunch and to Bourbon Town Bakes for the delicious cupcakes!
Your investment in our young leaders truly makes a difference.
To this year’s class: you showed up, you grew, and you led with purpose. The future is bright because of you.

The Creative Studio
The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize The Creative Studio as the Spotlight of the Month.
Hello! We’re the Creative Studio! We created our space with one simple goal: to make art accessible to every child in our community. We believe creativity should never feel out of reach, which is why our studio operates on a completely donation-based model during the week.
We’re open Wednesday-Friday from 10 AM-3 PM, offering a welcoming space where kids can come in, create, and explore at their own pace. Every other Wednesday, we host free story time and crafts, giving families an easy, fun way to connect and get creative together. We are occasionally open on Saturdays if we do not have rentals!
On weekends, the studio transforms into a space for celebrations. We host birthday parties, showers, and private events-allowing guests to enjoy a colorful, hands-on experience in a unique setting. We can host up to 50 guests in our space!
| | | |
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to fostering creativity, confidence, and joy in children. Whether it’s their first time picking up a paintbrush or their hundredth project, we want every child to feel inspired and encouraged.
The Creative Studio is more than just a place to make art-it’s a space where imagination is celebrated and creativity flourishes! Come see us and get creative!
