Have You Signed Up for the Infant/Toddler Institute Yet?
Attention Infant and Toddler teachers!

The Infant & Toddler Institute is almost here, have you registered yet? The New Hampshire Breastfeeding Task Force will be joining us to talk about how you can support breastfeeding families in your program.

Child care programs play an important role in supporting breastfeeding mothers and their infants by welcoming breastfeeding mothers and making sure staff members are trained to handle breast milk and follow mothers’ feeding plans.

Interested in signing-up? You can visit Eventbrite for more information!
Water Safety Training
Summer is almost here, which means that it's almost time for hot, sunny days, lots of ice cream, and swimming and water play! This can be such a fun time of year, but with activities like swimming and water play, there are risks.

Drowning is the third (3rd) leading cause of unintentional death in the U.S., and for children ages 1 to 2, drowning is the leading cause of injury death.

Join Child Care Aware of NH and Scott Noyes for Water Safety Training. This program will examine why and how children drown, and what we can do to prevent it.

This training is being held Saturday, June 10th from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Concord, NH. Click the flyer for more details and click the button below to register through NHCIS.

Starting the Conversation
Make the Most of Playtime
Play is such an important part of a child's growth and development. Sometimes parents/caregivers are unsure of how to play with their child, and that is okay!

The National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations has this great tip sheet for how parents/caregivers can make the most out of playtime with their child/children! It has a handy chart that explores the development of play skills in infants and toddlers, how to look at your space so it is safe and inviting, how to read your child's signals to know when they're done or have had too much. Feel free to check this article out and share with the families in your programs!
