Greetings from Tri-M,
Here we are in May. We have tackled online learning to the best of our abilities. It has not been easy for any of us. I applaud you for the effort you have put forth. I hope this publication finds you well and continuing to try and meet the needs of your students as best you can.
How is your Tri-M chapter doing? I hope they have been able to contribute to the school year as we currently know it. Are you looking for recruiting ideas? Have you considered having your Tri-M students write a short statement about what music means to them. Put them together in a document and send it to your feeder program to share with their students. Ask them to create a quick recording playing or singing and send it to your feeder directors. Let them help through the process. I know you are overwhelmed. Let your Tri-M leaders help.
Many schools across the state are seeing delayed or virtual graduation ceremonies. There is still an opportunity to order chords and pins for your seniors. See the link below to place your order. Honor your seniors as best you can.
In closing let me say thanks for providing Tri-M for your students. I know it is an extra step in your lives but I also know it means the world to them. Thank you for allowing them to share their passion with others. You are helping to build our future leaders regardless of the profession they choose to pursue. You make a difference in the lives of our youth. May we all finish the year with pride and purpose, and may we all have an opportunity to meet again

All-State and Clinic/Conference Medals and
Solo/Ensemble Festival Medals
Did you know that you can purchase CMEA Solo and Ensemble Awards even if you did not attend a CHSAA Solo and Ensemble Festival? If you hosted a regional Solo and Ensemble Festival or a county of district festival you can still order CMEA Solo and Ensemble medals.
Have you participated in a CHSAA Large Group Festival and put off ordering the award plaque? You can still order plaques for past festivals.
Did you have students in All-State Jazz Band, All-State Jazz Choir, All-State Orchestra, or the Elementary, Middle School, or High School All-State Choirs? If you did this might be a great time to honor these students with an All-State Medal. You can order these medals for your students and have them shipped directly to your home address. This is a great way to recognize your students for their accomplishment.
Have you thought about stocking up on Solo and Ensemble Medals, All-State Medals, or Clinic/Conference Performing Group medals? This might be a good time to spend remain budget dollars to stock up on these medals before your funds run out.
All award orders can be placed by going to the CMEA web site at cmeaonline.org, clicking on the General Information Tab and Clicking on the Order CMEA Awards Tab. All transactions can be completed on-line, including credit card payment.
Do you have questions regarding CMEA awards? You can direct those questions to CMEA Awards Manager- Ken Anderson at email@example.com
